Ermenegildo Zegna Autumn/Winter 2018- 2019 Eyewear Collection
Italian eyewear powerhouse Marcolin Group and luxury fashion company Ermenegildo Zegna Group have unveiled a new collection for sophisticated and stylish men. It revolves around four concepts that bridge the gap between fashion and functionality.
The first concept is the ‘Chevron’, which is based on the texture of Zegna fabrics and reinterpreted with personalised pins on the front frame and metal temples. The second is the ‘Shape’, which traces the outline of all the models and plays on the use of well-defined angles and large volumes. The third concept is ‘Vicuña’, the colour used on the metal bridges or temples of all the models. Finally, the ‘Touch’, which uses saffian effect leather or a scratched look on the end pieces, creates a sophisticated tactile effect.
The sunglass and optical collections feature a simple, straight-line design and are constructed with aesthetic and technical details, which strengthen and individualise their identity. They are available from select retailers across the region.

This chic range of sunglasses and eyeglasses is designed for modern, alluring, feminine, and dynamic women. The collection’s inspiration comes from four main concepts, the first of which is circles. The brand’s logo in the temples and mirror lenses brings a modern accent to the shapes, while the slim, bevelled profiles add a touch of lightness.
The second concept is a ‘50s-inspired look with substantial profiles, transparent colours, and crystals on the frame fronts. The last two concepts incorporate snake and butterfly-shaped detailing. The snake is interpreted in various forms and can be found on the temples and on the bridges of the frames, making the models even more distinctive. The butterfly models are embellished with hand- applied crystals and represent the more luxe side of the maison. This new collection of sunglasses and eyeglasses, for men and women, celebrates femininity with a touch of fun. Classic frames are revisited and revamped by incorporating bold ideas and innovative new designs. Subtly logoed, easy- to-wear styles alternate with distinctive designs that feature the logo more prominently. Eye- catching patterns and animal prints complement the collection, which is inspired by 1950’s shapes, reworked in a modern way.
