His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad, Minister of Health, Dr. George Cheriyan, CEO and CMO of American Mission Hospital, and Julia Tovey, Group CEO of American Mission Hospital.
HM the King received a model of the newly opened hospital from Dr. Cheriyan, along with a book titled ‘A Journey Through Time’, a book written by Julia Tovey documenting the history of the American mission since 1902.
HM the King commended the hospital’s efforts for providing the best medical care to citizens and residents and the excellent reputation it maintains, making it the region’s first leading hospital with over 120 years of experience in the field. HM the King hailed the historic Bahrain-US relations in various sectors, including in health and medicine.
Dr. Cheriyan thanked HM the King for his ongoing support, which reflects the long-standing cooperation between the two countries.
