Inimitable EXPERIENCE

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider combines unparalleled, thrilling driving with sophisticated, modern design, aimed at aficionados of the V12 engine configuration who enjoy open-air motoring. This iteration of the iconic V12 delivers 830 cv and revs up to 9500 rpm, offering an exclusive open-air driving experience reminiscent of the Ferrari Gran Turismo models from the 1950s and ‘60s.

“This design favors geometries and intersections native to the car’s styling, setting it apart from past Ferrari V12s.”

Equipped with the latest version of the iconic F140HD naturally-aspirated Ferrari V12 engine, the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider offers peerless performance, a powerful soundtrack, and exclusivity. The engine can unleash up to 830 cv while its max revs have been increased to 9500 rpm. Modified components, including titanium con rods and different aluminium pistons, contribute to reduced weight and enhanced performance. The new manifold and plenum layout, system of variable geometry inlet tracts, and innovative software strategy that modifies maximum torque based on gear selection ensure a smooth and powerful driving experience. A unique feature, Aspirated Torque Shaping (ATS), sculpts the torque curve in third and fourth gears using sophisticated electronic control, improving driving pleasure. Performance under acceleration and gear shifting times are significantly enhanced, with a 12% increase in torque at the wheels compared to previous V12 applications, and the introduction of an 8th gear for improved range on motorways.

With design led by Flavio Manzoni and the Ferrari Styling Centre team, the Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider departs from the sculptural language of previous models for a more sophisticated aesthetic. Clean lines dominate the car’s geometry, creating a seamlessly interconnected whole. The ultra-clean flanks sweep back from a dihedral section. The muscular rear wing and clean front lines highlight the car’s monolithic yet futuristic design. The car’s Inimitable EXPERIENCE bonnet is sleek and muscular, incorporating front wings and engine-cooling vents. This design favors geometries and intersections native to the car’s styling, setting it apart from past Ferrari V12s. A distinctive rear is created by two buttresses, integrated with an element that has a black screen effect, echoing the motif of the flank and enhancing design expressiveness. The taillights are set into a blade traversing the concave rear section, merging functional demands with aesthetic beauty. Instead of a traditional rear spoiler, the designers integrated two active flaps for downforce management.

The interior design is divided into three levels, enhancing the dual-cockpit effect. Sustainable materials like Alcantara© containing 65% recycled polyester are used extensively. The interior style draws inspiration from Ferrari’s dual-cockpit architecture found in recent models. The dashboard features two distinct binnacles for driver and passenger instrumentation. The center of the interior includes a shift gate with contrasting metallic edging, and scooped-out tunnel sides create a floating feel. The cabin integrates a sizable, tinted glass roof for enhanced airiness and thermal efficiency, ensuring a comfortable experience in both summer and winter.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider boasts a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) with three displays: a central 10.25” touchscreen for main functions, a 15.6” driver display showing vehicle dynamics, and an 8.8” passenger display for a co-pilot experience. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto® connectivity systems come as standard, operated via the new central display, and a wireless charging mat simplifies phone charging.

The car’s aerodynamics, including a 25 nm nolder on the boot lid and active aero flaps, ensure minimal drag and efficient downforce. Internal aerodynamic passages and underbody design contribute to improved airflow and cooling. The chassis integrates advanced cooling with strategic positioning of radiators and air intakes, optimizing engine performance and reducing drag.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider’s all-aluminum chassis, featuring a 20-mm reduction in wheelbase and innovative cast components, improves torsional rigidity and weight. The retractable hard top operates in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h, ensuring comfort during open-air driving. The use of recycled alloys reduces CO2 emissions without compromising mechanical properties. The car’s dynamic controls include brake-by-wire and innovative systems like ABS Evo and SSC 8.0, ensuring optimal performance and handling.

Overall, the Ferrari 12 Cilindri Spider is designed to deliver an unparalleled blend of luxury, performance, and driving excitement, making it a vehicle for the discerning few who appreciate Ferrari’s history and innovation.
