The Crown Prince and Prime Minister took this opportunity to underscore the kingdom’s robust economic recovery plan, which aims at creating high-quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens, enhancing the nation’s competitiveness, and furthering economic diversification with a strong emphasis on private sector growth.
During his tour of Marassi Galleria, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad admired the modern and
leisure facilities that the mall offers against the picturesque backdrop of Bahrain’s coastline. He praised the collaborative efforts that led to the realization of this landmark project, which is poised to play a crucial role in expanding the economy and attracting further investments to Bahrain.
Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills and Founder and Managing Director of Emaar Properties, expressed deep gratitude towards HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad for his presence at the inauguration. Alabbar highlighted the project’s significance in enhancing Bahrain’s economic and cultural landscape, envisioning Marassi Galleria as a dynamic center of social, cultural, and economic activities that reflects the kingdom’s growing cosmopolitan essence.
As a cornerstone of the Marassi Al Bahrain masterplan, Marassi Galleria emerges as the kingdom’s first shopping resort, setting a new benchmark in the retail sector locally and regionally. Spanning 114,000 square meters, it offers an unparalleled shopping, dining, and entertainment experience with over 450 retail shops, including prestigious international luxury brands, and creates 10,000 job opportunities for Bahraini nationals. The mall boasts an entertainment section with the kingdom’s largest aquarium, an underwater zoo, an adventure park, and a cinema complex, further connecting to two five-star resorts, the Address Marassi Al Bahrain and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain.
The inauguration was attended by His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, alongside other senior officials, signifying the project’s importance to Bahrain’s future economic landscape.
