How do you see the reception of Vacheron Constantin novelties from Watches and Wonders in the Middle East market? Are there specific models that have resonated particularly well with your clientele?
I’m very pleased with the reception this year. The feedback has been extremely positive, as the novelties reflect the essence of Vacheron Constantin: authenticity, respect for tradition, and innovation. One example is the new Patrimony in 39mm, launched as part of the 20th anniversary of the collection. The Patrimony is the epitome of elegance, inspired by the 1950s, and now features a sunray finish that enhances its vintage appeal. At Vacheron Constantin, we don’t define our watches solely by gender. The Patrimony, in particular, is designed to be truly unisex.
Is the Patrimony a limited edition or limited production piece?
Like the rest of our collection, it is limited in production. This ensures exclusivity while maintaining the craftsmanship Vacheron Constantin is known for.
Another notable launch is the Overseas collection. Can you share details about its latest addition?
The Overseas collection now features a stunning green dial paired with pink gold, available across various models like the chronograph, dual time, and automatic. The dual time model is particularly popular due to its practicality and elegant design. With this new collection, we wanted to offer something truly special. The bold green-dial automatic model and refined titanium tourbillon combine elegance with modern functionality in a way that feels fresh and distinctive.
How do you see the evolution of the Traditionelle collection, considering Vacheron Constantin’s focus on complications and craftsmanship?
The Traditionnelle collection represents the roots of Vacheron Constantin, blending technical precision with timeless design. While staying true to our heritage, we’ve introduced design innovations like distinctive color dials, such as green, and open-face designs with sapphire dials. One example is a model with a retrograde date complication, merging traditional watchmaking with modern aesthetics. It’s a perfect embodiment of tradition meeting creativity.
The Les Cabinotiers collection showcases the pinnacle of Vacheron Constantin’s craftsmanship. Can you share insights into the latest additions?
Les Cabinotiers represents the ultimate in bespoke watchmaking. Recently, we presented new pieces demonstrating unparalleled innovation, high complications, and exceptional decorative arts. We also recently unveiled the Berkley Grand Complication, a pocket watch with 63 complications, the most complex timepiece ever created. It’s a landmark in watchmaking history and a testament to our ability to push boundaries.
How has the Middle East market evolved for luxury watch brands like Vacheron Constantin? What factors drive growth and demand in the region?
Over the years, we’ve observed a growing clientele with a deeper appreciation for fine watchmaking. Clients here value authenticity, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. There’s also a rising interest in personalization, a trend particularly prominent in the Middle East. Additionally, we’re seeing increased demand from female collectors, reflecting a broader shift in the market.
Speaking of female collectors, how does Vacheron Constantin cater to this growing segment?
We cater to diverse preferences, and our Égérie collection has been particularly popular among women. It embodies femininity while offering the elegance and technical precision that Vacheron Constantin stands for. Additionally, the Overseas collection resonates well with women who seek versatility and a dynamic lifestyle.
What is your retail strategy in the Middle East, and how do you balance physical boutiques with online sales?
Our retail boutiques are crucial, as they immerse clients in the Vacheron Constantin universe, showcasing our history, craftsmanship, and collections. However, we’re also committed to being client-centric, offering online options for those who prefer digital channels. Whether clients start their journey online or in-store, the experience is seamless and tailored to their needs.
After-sales service is critical, especially given the intricate nature of high-end timepieces. How does Vacheron Constantin ensure exceptional service in the Middle East?
After-sales service is integral to our brand. We are committed to servicing every watch we’ve made since 1755, from modern pieces to vintage treasures. In the Middle East, we have skilled watchmakers based in Dubai, capable of handling all aspects of service and restoration, ensuring our clients receive the best care.
What are your projections for the future of luxury watchmaking in the Middle East? How does Vacheron Constantin plan to adapt to changing consumer preferences?
The region’s demographics are shifting, with a younger and more knowledgeable audience driving demand. This new generation values authenticity, craftsmanship, and personalization. We’re well-positioned to cater to these preferences, offering bespoke services and innovative designs while staying true to our heritage.
